After the huge success of our recent LOOP fly fishing event, it’s now time for the lure anglers to take centre stage.

Join us at Edinburgh Angling Centre for a full day dedicated to predator fishing alongside the team from Westin, with the latest tackle, expert advice and plenty happening throughout the store.

Whether you're into perch, pike, zander or saltwater lure fishing, this is a brilliant opportunity to get hands-on with some of the best modern lure fishing tackle available.


Special Guest – Thom Hunt

One of the highlights of the event will be special guest Thom Hunt.

Thom is widely respected within the UK lure fishing scene and brings a huge amount of experience targeting predatory species both at home and abroad. Whether you're looking to improve your lure fishing techniques, learn more about modern tackle or simply chat all things predator fishing, Thom will be on hand throughout the event.

Live Lure Tank Demonstrations

Throughout the event we’ll also be running live lure tank demonstrations, giving anglers the chance to see exactly how different lures behave underwater.

It’s one thing seeing a lure in the packet — seeing how it actually moves, darts, rolls and suspends in the water is something completely different.

These demonstrations are always hugely popular and offer a fantastic insight into lure design, retrieve styles and how subtle changes can make a massive difference when targeting predatory fish.

A Store Within a Store

The Westin team will effectively be setting up their own dedicated area within the store, packed with the latest rods, reels, lures and predator fishing accessories.

This is a great opportunity to properly compare tackle, ask questions and get genuine advice from experienced anglers who use this equipment day in, day out.

Modern lure fishing is incredibly technical and having the right setup can make all the difference. Whether you're building your first outfit or refining specialist setups for perch, pike or zander, expert guidance is invaluable when it comes to getting the best from your gear.

Our own predator fishing team will also be on hand throughout the event to help anglers of all experience levels.
