Alan Nicoll with a metre-plus salmon caught on the Border Esk
Fish of the Week
Seventeen catches make up a remarkable Fish of the Week line-up. This week's entries include a Border Esk salmon measuring more than a metre, an estimated 200lb common skate, a 78lb catfish caught by nine-year-old Tommie Tang and an exceptional 13lb Lough Corrib brown trout. Add in several specimen pike, a lure-caught 8lb 5oz cod and plenty of memorable personal bests, and the judges have another very difficult decision ahead. Click any card to read the full story.

The winner will be revealed in Friday's Scottish Daily Record newspaper and on our social media channels. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter so you don't miss out.
