Daiwa Reel Clinic – Spring Open Weekend

As part of the GAC Spring Open Weekend, March 6th–8th, we will be welcoming members of the Daiwa UK technical team from their Wishaw factory for a dedicated in-store Reel Clinic.

This is a rare opportunity to speak directly with the technicians who build and service Daiwa reels. Whether you're looking to improve performance, extend longevity or simply understand your gear better, the team will be on hand to offer practical, professional guidance.

What You’ll Learn

  • Proper reel maintenance techniques
  • How to extend the lifespan of your reel
  • Performance optimisation tips
  • Practical servicing advice from factory technicians
  • Answers to your technical questions

Your reel is one of the most important components in your fishing setup - and often one of the biggest investments. With correct care and regular maintenance, it can continue performing at its best for many seasons.

The Daiwa team will demonstrate key servicing techniques and explain what anglers can safely do themselves, as well as when professional servicing is recommended.

Why It’s Worth Attending

You don't get expertise like this often, YouTube how to's are superb but having direct access to factory technicians gives you insight that simply isn’t available through instruction manuals or online forums.

If you fish fly, sea, lure or coarse, understanding how your reel works and how to maintain it, can make a real difference on the water.
