Tim will be attending our Autumn Open Weekend, September 26th-28th! He will be on our Infamous Fly Tyers Row where you'll be able to ask him questions about this fly, as well the array of other patterns he'll be showcasing on the weekend!
So that year i came home and decided to come up with a pattern which I would be able to see, ready for the coming year. I had a play about with materials, mixing different dubbings, different shellbacks to come up with the perfect colour to be visible in the crystal clear waters.
The following year I went back to Bosnia to test it out. The guides all thought it would never work as I had tied it on #10s and #12s Partridge grab pupa SLP also Partridge K14A hooks in the same sizes.
After having it working well on the first morning it was not long before the guides wanted the dressing for it. I can honestly say it is fished with great success in Bosnia even today. It has also worked in various countries fishing for grayling with this shrimp pattern. Other's have used it and have had the same success.
