Today we are checking out the Missing Link Corixa, tied by Steve Cullen. This variant is a design of Steve's and it has a similar shape to a Cruncher. It's an excellent fly to use when you're casting into or across weedbeds. There are about 35 different species of Corixa in the UK, with the most common being the Corixa Punctata, usually set in dark drown and/or yellow! This fly is perfect to use all season, but according to Steve, this fly produces the best when it's fished into the later months of the year around the end of October & start of November.
All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre as listed below, but as always, if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then we'll be happy to help.
Materials Used:
Dubbing: Davy Wotton SLF Standard Dubbing, Burnt Orange
