The Glasgow City Low Emission Zone (LEZ) was introduced on the 1st June 2023, but there have been no changes for our staff and customers getting to the Glasgow Angling Centre as we are outwith the boundary of the LEZ and completely unaffected by the restrictions.
Getting to us is easy via the M8 Motorway:
If you're travelling Westbound come off at Junction 16
If you're travelling Eastbound come off at Junction 17
Glasgow was be the first of four cities in Scotland to introduce a Low Emission Zone (LEZ), on 1 June 2023. Zones in Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen will take effect in June 2024. If you are planning to head into Glasgow you can check your vehicle's compliance online - you might be surprised at what cars are still allowed (or come see us first and walk into town instead).
Where is the Low Emission Zone?
The zone is defined on the North and West by the M8, by the River Clyde on the South and on the Saltmarket/High Street in the East. Signs have been erected both at the limits and on the roads approaching the zone to alert drivers that they are entering the zone.
You won't pass any of these on the approach to Glasgow Angling Centre so pop in and see us no matter what vehicle you drive!
