Today we are checking out Steve Cullen's, Pearl Pulling Buzzer. This is a pulling buzzer that works well for Steve especially in the upper layers he's fished it all over from Draycote and Rutland to the big Irish Loughs. It's a fairly straight forward pattern to tie but the result is very effective. As it's a pulling pattern Steve uses a stiffer cock hackle at the head rather than the usual webby hen, he incorporates sunburst Cookshill goose biots and pearl which really makes the fly stand out. Get a few of these tied, ready for your next outing!
All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre as listed below, but as always, if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then we'll be happy to help.
